DC Energy GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “DCE”), a group company of Daiichi Jitsugyo Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as “DJK”, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan, President & CEO: Ichiro Uno) a general machinery trading company, has won a large-scale contract from Britishvolt Limited (Head Office: Coventry, the West Midlands County, United Kingdom, CEO: Orral Nadjari), a UK startup company, for lithium-ion battery (LIB) electrode manufacturing equipment.
DCE is a joint venture formed in Eschborn, Germany, in June 2019, between DJK and CIS Co., Ltd., (Head Office: Daegu, Republic of Korea, Company Representative: Kim Soo Ha) a maker of LIB manufacturing equipment. DCE has been rolling out its business expansion strategy to meet accelerating demand for LIB manufacturing-related equipment in Europe.
