We have donated stockpiles of water and food for disasters or emergencies to food banking organizations such as Second Harvest Japan.* Those stockpiles have nearly one year remaining before their best-before date.
Food banking activities include providing donated food being of good quality, but not consumed due to mispackaging or being close to best-before dates, at no cost to social welfare organizations and people in need.
Anticipating this initiative will make a positive impact on society, we will continue to give our best efforts to social contributions.
*Second Harvest Japan was founded in 2002 as a specified non-profit corporation, with their mission of “food for all people.”
